What all started as a great journey had become a nightmare. The builder we had chosen to build our first family home deceived us. We were initially approved, given a false completion, and then we were told to take our down payment to use for a honeymoon which lead to them advising us that we weren't approved for our home. However, we was referred to Conswella Fowler 45 days before our projected closing date. She reviewed my husband's & I credit report, and established a plan. Conswella ensured us that if we did everything as instructed and with urgency, we would be in our home by our closing date. When I say she kept her word, she delivered all of her promises! In addition, she was able to provide information that lead to assistance with our down payment; resulting in a lesser amount out of pocket at our closing. My initial experience with a previous company was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. My file was handled by a representative that did not communicate very well and mislead us during the entire process. The representative did not return calls in a timely manner and meet the established closing deadlines. Ultimately, this resulted in a higher interest rate which cost my family more money. My file was a pretty simple re-finance with no credit or financial issues. However, it took three months for the representative to inform us on a couple occasions we were not closing due to her false representations.
Conswella Fowler, a friend of the family, fortunately was familiar with my situation. I requested for her to take over the file. Upon my request, I completed a new application and had to start the process all over again. During this process, Conswella was extremely professional and diligent. She kept us informed every step of the way and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. If she didn’t know the answer immediately, she performed the research and provided us with her recommendations in a timely manner. When I had questions regarding GFE, interest rates, closing costs, private mortgage insurance, etc., she explained it perfectly and was consistent with my own research. Needless to say, she made sure that my file was taken care of and made sure the process was less stressful than the previous situation. Not only did Conswella use the same mortgage company that the previous representative did but she closed the file within 30 days. Her hard work and dedication was unmatched and we were truly blessed to close the loan with a slightly higher percentage. She saved us a few hundred dollars on our monthly note during a slow economy. This was one of the best experiences I’ve had in my professional accounting career which includes working at the largest CPA firms in the world. I will continue to refer family and friends to Conswella as I know they will be in great hands.

When me and my wife decided to look for a house, we saw alot of homes that we liked but found only one house that we really loved. My husband and I were originally working with the builder's lender to get our house financed. After working with them for a year we still was in the process of getting financed for a new house we had built from the ground up. As the process went on he kept giving us different closing dates, but we never closed. Upon providing him with all the necessary documents he still was unable to help us close on the house. Call A Friend Financial is a great group to work with! After getting the run around from the builder’s lender for a couple of months, Conswella and her staff were able to get everything done in about 3 weeks. They are very thorough and stay on top of things. They knew what items were going to be needed and what might be needed and kept us ahead of the curve just in case and when lenders called back needing a certain item, there was no waiting around. CAFFS even stayed on top of the builder as things got closer to closing. Conswella was able to catch a few things that would have slipped right by us and saved us some money. They were also able to shop our loan around to numerous lenders and offer us a variety of different loans to choose from. We will always be grateful for the service they provided!
